Death Valley returns! We'd been there one and a half years ago, and
always wanted to come back. The valley has much to offer. It is
February now, and the sun doesn't kill anymore. It rained before we
got there. Which made the sand not look so much like the desert
anymore. Anything remarkable? We stayed in Beatty, Nevada, at Burro
Inn. The valley was insanely full and we couldn't find another
hotel. We couldn't even find a non-smoking room. We're proud to have
survived the smoke attack. Olfactive aggressiveness of this kind can
only be matched by the smelly cows on I-5. Other room features:
intermittent warm water, no heating (ever heard of cold desert
nights?), and, can you imagine? No Gideons Bible! That being said, enjoy the pictures.
